Motor vehicle dealers in Florida collect and remit more sales tax than any other retail industry in the State of Florida. This industry also generates more questions related to tax collections than any other industry. For this reason, the Florida Department of Revenue has developed a Tax Information Manual for Motor Vehicle Dealers. This manual is available onlinw to FIADA members as a resource and a ready reference tool to answer most questions about sales tax, fees, export sales, out-of-state sales, audits, tax filings and more. All members should make themselves familiar with this manual which is available to 24/7.
